Deer Park has a brand new public library branch in the Dillonvale shopping center.

Located in the former TJ Maxx display case, this “Next Generation Library” at the Cincinnati and Hamilton County Public Library opens to the public at 10:00 am on December 10th.

Located just below the old branch, this renovated space spans 25,000 square feet and is now accessible to wheelchairs, walkers and strollers. It also has two public meeting rooms, seven study rooms and a ‘quiet space’.

“I look forward to welcoming you to this lovely new space where we can all do more, together,” Natalie Fields, Deer Park branch manager, said in a statement. “You will find many more books, films and computers as well as spaces to interact with your neighbors or to work in peace alone or in small groups. Deer Park staff and I can’t wait to show you around.

Cincinnati and Hamilton County Public Library Director Paula Brehm-Heeger said the project cost around $ 5 million.

The library’s Next Generation plan aims to modernize all of its 41 branches over 10 years. Renovations have started at the main downtown branch and will include updated seating in front of the north and south buildings and the atrium.

The Deer Park branch is located at 4020 E. Galbraith Road, Deer Park.
