My Hero Academia still has a bit of a way to go before it’s done, but if superhero fans know anything, Izuku is going to save the day. Like all heroes before him, Izuku knows what it takes to be a true savior, and creator Kohei Horikoshi modeled the boy after the heroes he most admired. After all, it’s hard to ignore Spider-Man’s influence on Deku in the manga, and one artist gave the heroes a wonderful crossover with a new piece of art.
Illustration is courtesy of Twitter user tivolart as you can see below. The art features Izuku Midoriya in the Spider-Man costume, and fans love the bold look. After all, it’s not every day that you see the hero cosplaying a Marvel legend, and he even sports a slew of ear piercings to spice things up.

As you can see, Deku wears a standard red-blue Spider-Man costume. The biggest difference in this costume comes from its emblem, as Peter Parker’s white spider glows green here. That otherworldly glow is reflected in Izuku’s eyes, so you can see that the Class 1-A hero still has a part of One For All in him.
From her hooded eyes to her wild hair and piercings, this daring look shows a new side of Izuku. This kind of aesthetic is totally out of the norm, but it still works. And given how much Horikoshi loves Spider-Man, My hero university fans are all too willing to accept this unofficial crossover now that it has gone viral online.
Unfortunately, there are no plans to introduce Deku to Peter Parker in canon, but this work proves that it has a lot of potential. Horikoshi would surely jump at the chance to ink the hero’s official artwork, and Izuku could learn a thing or two from Marvel’s friendly Spider-Man neighborhood.
