The public is invited to the special opening reception of the League of Artists’ 27th annual art exhibition and sale on Friday, November 5, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. “This is our biggest event of the year,” said a spokesperson. The opening weekend continues on Saturday, November 6, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Meet the artists as they paint in their studios throughout the weekend. The exhibition and sale will remain open until Friday, December 17, with gallery opening hours from noon to 3 p.m., Monday to Saturday.
“This is a perfect opportunity to acquire the perfect artwork for personal enjoyment or as a gift for the approaching holiday season,” the spokesperson said. With around 150 new works of art in the exhibition and over 300 pieces in the artists’ studios, you can choose from oils, watercolors, acrylics, pastels, alcohol inks, colored pencils and mixed media in a variety of sizes and prices. “
A gift basket with artwork, local business gift cards and other items will be raffled off during the opening weekend. Tickets are on sale from members of the Artists’ League or at the League. A booklet of six tickets is available for $ 5 or $ 1 per individual ticket. The raffle winner will be announced on Saturday, November 6 at 3 p.m.
“You don’t have to be there to win,” the spokesperson explains.
The gallery is located in historic downtown Aberdeen at 129 Exchange Street in the former Aberdeen Rockfish Railroad storage terminal.
